Inspecta

The Inspecta group is the leading provider of inspection, testing and certification services in the Nordic area with more than 1200 employees in Sweden, Finland, Norway and the Baltic States. Inspecta has grown tremendously through acquisitions, which has lead to a situation where there are lots of overlapping systems and tools. To remedy this overlapping, Inspecta sought the help of eCraft.

Together with Inspecta, we identified and documented the IT needs from the point of view of the different business units. Based on the needs, the development themes were defined. The themes and areas of focus served as a basis for the 5-year IT development road map, which was the end result of the project.

"This is how we should do it. It looks quite clear what we should do when put this way." – Mats Jungar, CEO, Inspecta Group

The Switch

The Switch is a pioneer in tapping into the business potential of renewable energy resources.  Business areas are wind power and other emerging businesses, including industrial facilities, variable speed gensets, and solar and fuel cell applications. The Switch expertise covers control systems, power electronics and electrical machines.

The Switch's challenge was their extremely fast growth. The relatively small IT department had difficulties in handling all the requirements and prioritizing the needs of the business. With the help of eCraft, The Switch got a 5-year road map which maps the current requirements against the current IT landscape, identifies key areas to address and gives recommendations which can be translated to implementation projects.

"The tough part is not to make plans and produce documents, but to turn it into practice." – Jukka-Pekka Mäkinen, CEO, The Switch
